Since Money is something that a lot of systems need to represent it is not surprising that there are lots of good examples/articles on the Web for it. Rather than throw away the links I found I decided to include them in this article as I thought they might be of use to people.

Examples

A quick search using http://www.searchdotnet.com, http://www.google.com and http://code.google.com/ found the following links about Money classes for .NET or Java:

http://decav.com/blogs/andre/archive/2006/09/06/433.aspx
http://timeandmoney.domainlanguage.com/
http://weblogs.asp.net/pgreborio/archive/2005/03/02/383744.aspx
http://www.codeproject.com/vb/net/moneyDatatype.asp
http://huntjason.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!9D2E96F2AA6AE85F!349.entry
http://www.michaelbrumm.com/money.html
http://www.noticeablydifferent.com/CodeSamples/Money.aspx

The code supplied by the first link was of a good quality and contained tests so we've used it. Obviously this wouldn't be a good idea in the real world, at the least we'd want to write our own tests for the code.
